Applications for Genesis Sixteen close on 23 January

Genesis Sixteen is The Sixteen’s free young artists’ programme for 18-23 year olds, which aims to nurture the next generation of talented ensemble singers.

During the course of a year, a series of week-long and weekend courses based in the UK are led by key figures from The Sixteen, including founder and conductor Harry Christophers and associate conductor Eamonn Dougan.
To be eligible for the 2026-27 programme you must be aged between 18 and 23 on Sunday 24 August 2026, be a permanent UK or Republic of Ireland citizen (i.e., possess a UK or Republic of Ireland passport), be resident in these countries for the duration of the programme, and be free for all the course dates without exception, as follows:
Course 1: Oxford
Sunday 23 – Saturday 29 August 2026
Course 2: Barnsley
Friday 6 – Sunday 8 November 2026
Course 3: Cardiff
Friday 5 – Sunday 7 February 2027
Course 4: Location TBC
Sunday 4 – Sunday 11 July 2027
