National Youth Orchestra Applications Open for 2027
Applications for the National Youth Orchestra 2027 are now open. Teenage musicians across the UK are invited to play their part in the greatest musical adventure of their lives.
Every year, teenagers unite through their love of music, ready to push their limits, discover new skills, and make an impact as musicians, mentors and motivators. With world-class coaching and support, they gain the skills and confidence to thrive both on and off stage.
Musicians conquer epic music as part of a nationwide community. They'll perform for and alongside teenagers across the UK in concert halls, schools and surprising places and spaces.
Who can apply for the Orchestra of 2027?
13-18 year old musicians who play an orchestral instrument at a level equivalent to Grade 8 or above, but with no need for graded exams. Musicians need to apply by 17 May.
Applications are completely free, with travel and accommodation bursaries available for anyone who needs them.
