Kitty Crocker Triumphs in ASONE Hub's New Music Lab Songwriting Competition

Published on December 17, 2023

The music scene of Cornwall has found its latest sensation in the form of Kitty Crocker, the deserving winner of the newly rebranded 'VIBE - New Music Lab' song writing competition.

Kitty's exceptional talent won her a day of intensive mentoring at Airfield Studios owned by the well-known musician Jo Partridge. It also included a mentoring and recording session with producers Ryan Jones and Tam Johnstone who supported Kitty in developing her winning composition into a first cut.

The experience was nothing short of transformative, with Kitty gaining invaluable first-hand knowledge of the recording process, studio techniques, and the complexities of professional music production.

‘It was so amazing to see my song come to life throughout the day and to see how a song can build. I got so much out of the recording day, and was given some great advice from everyone there.’
