Reminder: School Project Funding: Applications for the Summer Term close THIS Sunday

Published on February 24, 2025

This is a reminder that the application deadline for School Project Funding for the Summer Term is Sunday 2 March.

You can see the different School Project funding available below. Please click on the relevant link(s) to find out more about each project and whether your school is eligible to apply for funding:

  • EYFS/KS1 Inspiration: Schools can access funding for the EYFS/KS1 Inspiration Project at any point during the academic year and this funding is available for one KS1 class and teacher per year.

  • KS2 First Access: The funding for KS2 First Access projects can only be accessed for one term, and it must be the first time that a Key Stage 2 class, or at least most of the class, have learnt any instrument through the scheme. Schools can access grants for up to 3 classes per term in their school if those classes have not previously received First Access.

  • KS3 Progression: Schools can apply for a Hub grant to fund a bespoke progression project for a group of KS3 pupils, e.g., a specific year group or a target group of pupils. Projects could range from setting up an ensemble to funding whole-class ensemble teaching. A school can only apply once per academic year.

  • KS2 Music Technology Gateway: The funding for KS2 Music Technology Gateway projects can only be accessed for one term, and it must be the first time that a Key Stage 2 class, or at least most of the class, have taken part in the scheme. Schools can access grants for up to 3 classes per term in their school if those classes have not previously taken part in this project.

  • KS3 Music Technology Pathway: The funding for KS3 Music Technology Pathway projects can only be accessed for one term, and it must be the first time a Key Stage 3 class has participated in the scheme.

Application forms can be found on the relevant project pages above. For ease, they can also be found here:

You will need to submit a data submission form with your funding application. Again, this can be found on each project page, but can also be found here: School Data Submission

Please note you will need to engage with an ASONE Hub Approved Project Deliverer before you submit your application. The Project Deliverer Directory can be found here: Registered Providers Directory

All applications will be reviewed once the deadline has passed on Sunday 2 March.
