Applications for Flightpath Scholarship Fund now open

Published on June 2, 2025

In a bold step toward reducing financial barriers to music education, ASONE Hub has launched the Flightpath Scholarship Fund (Flightpath). Backed by a strategic blend of public and private funding, Flightpath represents a collaborative commitment to one mission: every young person in Cornwall has access to high-quality music education.

Flightpath supports learners through one-to-one and group music lessons (up to 34 lessons per year), instrument hire, live performance participation, and in certain (referred or prescribed funding cases) examination fees, additional mentoring, travel grants and music production placements.

To find out more about Flightpath, head here.

For the 25-26 academic year there are ten Flightpath Scholarships available for talented young musicians who don’t currently receive funding support but have a combined household income of less than 50k.

If you are a parent, carer or guardian of a young musician who doesn’t currently receive funding support but meets the eligibility criteria, you can apply for a Flightpath Scholarship here.  If you are a teacher of a talented young musician who is eligible for Flightpath, please encourage them to apply.

Applications open on Monday 2nd June and close on Tuesday 1st July. Successful applicants will be notified by 1st August, with lessons starting in September.
