Screen Cornwall: Exciting opportunities for young people this autumn

Screen Cornwall is offering two exciting opportunities for aspiring young filmmakers this autumn.

Short Film Script Call-Out for (for 16-25 year olds)

Screen Cornwall has secured funding to run a BFI Film Academy Short Course for twenty 16–19-year-olds this autumn, for the third year. Applications for participants are now open.

BFI Film Academy Short Courses (for 16-19 year olds) 

The BFI Film Academy's Short Courses, designed for 16-19 year olds, provide hands-on introductory experience and industry insights, paving the way for careers in the screen industries. These short courses help train and inspire the next generation of UK filmmakers, supporting young people aged 16–19 to develop the commercial and cultural knowledge and skills to help make a career in film. Courses are delivered across the UK with four hosted in the South West region.

The deadline for both opportunities is noon on Friday 26th September.
