Songfest 2026: School Registration Opens on 22 October
Published on October 13, 2025
It's back!
Our biggest musical celebration of the year returns for its 10th outing and to celebrate this major milestone we're shaking things up a bit!
We want to offer MORE children across Cornwall the chance to take part and create BIGGER mass singing events. This year we are opening Songfest up to WHOLE CLASSES, which means over 2800 young singers across the county filling venues with song.
Led by our brilliant Songfest team Angela Renshaw & Patrick Bailey, your students will learn specially arranged songs in advance, before joining with other schools to bring them to life in a celebratory event.
This year’s songs are by the fantastic Emily Barden, who many of you will be familiar with from Sing Up - you can expect fun, memorable and inspirational music and words that your whole school will love hearing!
There are 6 events across 3 venues on 3 dates to choose from:
- St. John's Hall, Penzance on Wednesday 11th March at 11.15am and 2pm
- Sterts Liskeard on Wednesday 25th March at 11.15am and 2pm
- Hall For Cornwall, Truro on Tuesday 31st March at 11.15am and 2pm
To reach as many young singers as possible, and to keep the event in the school day, we've removed the public nature of Songfest, so no tickets can be bought to watch.
We will have a photographer on hand to capture every school taking part. And we've curated a fab pack of resources to help you mount your own Songfest show in school, so that parents and carers can still have an opportunity to see their child perform.
What you'll get:
- Dynamic song resources to help you learn the songs with your class, including singalong videos, sheet music and backing tracks
- Invitation to CPD sessions with expert singing tips for individual songs
- An in -school visit from one of our Songfest leads to get you ready for the big performance day
- Tickets* for a whole class to attend one of the Songfest events
- A post-event resource pack to help you host your own Songfest concert in school, including posters and ticket templates
- An invitation to add your class to our celebratory digital choir video
- A Songfest 2026 certificate and class photo
Registration:
Registration opens at 11am on Wednesday 22nd October and costs £95 per school class.
Registration is open to all Primary Schools students in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) across Cornwall. We are unable to accept children younger or older than this.
*Each place is for ONE SCHOOL and includes up to 39 seats including teachers and staff. There is no discount for schools bringing less than this number - you'll be asked to confirm exactly how many are coming in January 2026.
To book, you / your school cardholder will need to be a registered user of the ASONE Hub website so you can make payment straight away. Competition for spaces is always really high, so we recommend making sure you’re ready to go on the 22nd October.
IMPORTANT
Songfest remains our most popular school activity, and as such places go quickly. Please ONLY book if you are 100% committed to attending your chosen event date. We are unable to swap dates down the line, or to refund bookings cancelled within 6 weeks of the performance date.
