ASONE Hub Transition Update
As previously announced, ASONE Perform CIC (ASONE) has stepped down as the Lead Hub Organisation for the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Music Hub.
Over the past four years, it has been our privilege to work alongside schools, teachers, music leaders, delivery partners, parents, carers and, most importantly, thousands of children and young people.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported ASONE Hub throughout this journey.
Your professionalism, patience and commitment have helped create opportunities for young people across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and we are sincerely grateful for your support.
We are delighted that Hall for Cornwall has been appointed by Arts Council England as the new Lead Hub Organisation from 1 September 2026, and we wish them every success as they prepare to lead the next chapter of music education across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
As part of the wind-down, all administrative and application forms, together with associated documents, will be removed from our website. Only information relating to the wind-down, outstanding financial matters and relevant contact details will remain available to assist with enquiries.
In preparation for September, all enquiries relating to future Music Hub delivery, including new instrument hire enquiries and rental requests, should now be directed to the Cornwall Music Hub administration team, now based at Hall for Cornwall, via [email protected].
From 20 July 2026, recurring instrument rental payments will be removed from the ASONE finance system.
The Cornwall Music Hub administration team will then contact hirers directly to obtain the personal information required to establish new payment arrangements and ensure continuity of service.
Any instrument rental payments that would ordinarily fall due between 20 July and 1 September will not be collected. After this date, information regarding future payment arrangements will be provided by the Cornwall Music Hub administration team.
Individuals, parents and carers with existing private instrument hires do not need to return their instruments as part of this transition. Every effort is being made to ensure there is no interruption to existing hire arrangements.
Where appropriate, data has been shared in accordance with agreed data-sharing arrangements and UK data protection legislation. Where additional personal information could not be shared and is required to continue an existing hire, the Cornwall Music Hub administration team will contact the named hirer directly by email.
Returning a Hired Instrument
The existing instrument return process remains unchanged during the transition period.
To return a hired instrument, please email [email protected] with the following details:
- Pupil name
- Instrument serial number, where applicable
- School name
- Teacher name
- Date returned
- Where the instrument has been left
The instrument should be left at the named school reception so the return can be logged and collection arranged.
ASONE will continue to manage the orderly wind-down of the organisation and all financial matters relating to its period as Lead Hub Organisation.
If you have any questions regarding outstanding invoices and/or final account settlements, please contact [email protected] or Cindy Dalgleish directly at [email protected].
Thank you for your support in this chapter of ASONE's journey.
We leave with many wonderful memories and increased confidence in the potential of music education across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
