Summer Term Update – Delivery and Transition

Published on April 24, 2026

As previously communicated, ASONE Perform CIC (ASONE) will be stepping down as Hub Lead Organisation (HLO) at the end of August.

During this interim period, and as part of an orderly wind-down, Cornwall Music Service Trust (CMST) will offer an independent Summer Term bridging programme delivered in line with the supplementary funding from the Department for Education and Arts Council England.

This Programme has been devised by CMST to support continued music education for young people across Cornwall and intended to ensure continuity of provision through the Summer Term while the new HLO is established.

ASONE Hub has now received all school project applications and has shared existing contact details for Spring Term subsidised lesson providers and ensemble leads, drawn from previous delivery, with CMST to support their planning and decision-making.

All decisions regarding Summer Term delivery, including which projects and providers will proceed, will now sit with CMST in line with their programme and available funding.

For all enquiries relating to Summer Term delivery, applications, and next steps, please contact CMST directly: [email protected]

NB - Responsibility for child safeguarding and public liability relating to teaching and learning activity sits with CMST for the Summer Term.

During this transition period, ASONE Hub will continue to support an orderly handover. This includes:
  • Support onboarding of the HLO and transfer all relevant documentation in line with data protection guidelines.
  • Preparation and coordination of whole class instrument sets for collection and return
  • Delivery and collection of privately hired instruments to and from schools for collection
  • Responding to general enquiries via [email protected]
  • Processing outstanding Spring Term payments where invoices have been submitted to ASONE Perform CIC on [email protected]
  • Manage any insurance claims relating to the music collection as required

We recognise this has been an uncertain time for schools, teachers, and delivery partners, and we thank everyone for their professionalism, patience, and continued commitment to young people across Cornwall.

Kindest regards
Cindy Dalgleish
