Perghenegi, which translates to ‘claim’ or ‘takeover’ in Cornish, is designed to be a youth-led and owned music project. Though facilitated by experienced professionals, the ensemble is driven by the creative vision and leadership of its young participants.

Autumn Rehearsal Dates: The rehearsals will take place in Redruth on the following dates:

  • 21st September
  • 5th October

Additionally, the ensemble will perform as part of the Lowender Festival, running from 25th to 27th October. This offers a fantastic opportunity for participants to showcase their skills on a larger stage and connect with a vibrant community of folk music enthusiasts.

About Perghenegi: Perghenegi sessions are led by Daniel Woodfield, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and musical director, with additional support from other professional musicians.
