Exciting Opportunity to Shape Cornwall's Music Education: Join the ASONE Hub Strategic Advisory Governance Board
Published on August 23, 2024
ASONE Perform CIC (ASONE) is on the lookout for passionate and dedicated individuals to join ASONE Hub's NEW Strategic Advisory Group (AO SAG).
This significant development comes on the heels of a comprehensive review that led to the dissolution of the previous Strategic Advisory Group Board (SAGB). The review concluded that, to fully meet the criteria set by the 2024/25 funding agreement and Local Plan for Music Education (LPME) guidance, a broader range of perspectives that better represent key stakeholders, including young people, schools, parents, carers, partners, and the wider arts and music sectors is paramount.
A New Chapter for Music Education in Cornwall
ASONE, which administers ASONE Hub, has made this difficult decision with the clear understanding that a new approach is essential to meet updated governance standards for the new funding agreement.
By making this change, ASONE Hub aims to stay responsive, inclusive, and aligned with the National Plan for Music Education (NPME).
With support from Arts Council England (ACE), ASONE is now preparing to recruit new members for the AO SAG. This shift is designed to help ASONE Hub ensure that high-quality music education continues to be accessible to all children and young people in Cornwall.
