Nominate your school for The Music Mark of Recognition

We’re delighted to share that schools in Cornwall can now apply for The Music Mark of Recognition - a celebration of schools that demonstrate a clear commitment to providing high-quality music education for all pupils.

By applying, your school pledges to:

  • Advocate for the importance of music education in the curriculum and creative life of your school.
  • Provide an equitable, diverse and inclusive music education for every young person.
  • Welcome opportunities to broaden musical horizons by working with providers in your community and beyond.

What are the benefits?

Schools awarded the Music Mark of Recognition will receive:

  • Full access to all free content on the Music Mark website.
  • A certificate and logo to display on your school website, letters and emails.
  • A 50% discount on upgrading to a full Music Mark School Membership.

There are two categories of recognition:

  • Dedication & Improvement - for schools on their journey to embedding consistent and inclusive music provision.
  • Ambition & Quality - for schools already demonstrating a strong, ambitious, and collaborative approach to music education.

All schools in Cornwall can apply by submitting the following to ASONE Hub:

  1. Your school's Music Development Plan (MDP)
  2. A supporting statement (max. 250 words) explaining why your school should be recognised.

Applications will be reviewed against criteria including:

  • A clear commitment to improving music education, with willingness to engage in development conversations.
  • Recognition of the value of music as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.

Applications are open now and will close on Friday 21st November 2025Please note: applications are only accepted during the Autumn Term, and recognition lasts for one academic year (expiring each August).
